| Marches Energy Agency was a good idea of Shropshire County Council (SCC) some 13 years ago back in the mid 1990s, long before human induced climate change had become a big issue or even a small issue. The Shropshire Energy Team (as it was called then) was formed with some European funding support as a part of SCC. Three years later in 1998 with lots of good ideas it was set free as an independent charitable company Marches Energy Agency.
MEA has five key themes: Low Carbon Communities, Project Carbon, RE:think Energy, Action Heat and Carbon Forum.
