Richard Hammerton
Richard Hammerton is a Project Manager for the Carbon Forum team at MEA, and uses an in-depth knowledge of climate change science and his creative talents to develop and deliver a wide variety of communication and training projects. During his first two years at MEA Richard has written and edited our Bioenergy Guide, developed and delivered training programmes for Herefordshire Council and Government Office West Midlands, and coordinated the development of a Climate Change museum exhibition for the National Museum of Uganda. He also drinks prodigious quantities of tea.

Richard has a BSc. in Environmental Science and an MSc (Arch.) in Applied Environmental and Energy Studies, and before joining MEA has worked in various environmental jobs including an organic nursery, an environmental community centre & urban nature park, and as a volunteer with Yorkshire Wildlife Trust.
He believes that given the right information anyone can be convinced that avoiding climate change is in their own interest, and his main aim is to find the most effective ways to communicate these key facts and inspire as many people as he can to start taking positive action.
Richard is currently developing an accredited course in climate and energy awareness, and preparing to go to Uganda to make a model village for the Ugandan Parliament.
