Carbon Forum takes delivery of its ultra low CO2 vehicle

Well, its been a long time coming and unfortunately it was too late to make it into our Eco Vehicles Top Trumps pack. But its here at last, our brand new vehicle. Our friends at Acme Steam Engines Inc. offered us the opportunity to trial a breakthrough in low CO2 technology - a wood-fuelled steam-engined vehicle. Ours is the first off the line and is powered by locally sourced larch. Its performance is quite impressive too - we can get to the forest and back in approximately 1.5 days. It sports an impressive array of optional extras such as active air conditioning, keep fit fuel injection system and a state of the art MP3 player.

Using locally sourced, sustainably grown wood makes the vehicle virtually CO2 neutral. "We're really excited about the new vehicle and are looking forward to taking it to the Rockingham Raceway event in May." said Senior Project Manager, Ms A. Phool.
